WEBSITES FOR INDEPENDENT TRAVEL ADVISORS & PLANNERSAnyone can list destinations. Show travelers your expertise.
I create websites for independent travel agents, travel advisors, and small trip-design businesses in New Zealand and beyond. These sites explain your planning process, fees, who does the planning, and how clients’ money is protected. This helps attract the right travelers, not just people comparing booking sites.
Why travelers inquire elsewhere
Your site lists destinations, but it looks like every other travel site. It doesn’t show your unique approach.
If your planning fee is hard to find or missing, you end up explaining it on your first call.
People who are referred to you check your site before reaching out. If they only find Instagram posts, they miss your process, your protections, and your best trips.
Anyone can book a destination online. Travelers choose you for what you do differently.
Let me help you make your experience, process and destinations clear online.
What a travel business website has to do
Show how you plan your trips
Start with an enquiry, then a call, a first draft, changes, booking, and support while they travel. Show these six steps in order, with how long each one takes.
Introduce the planner
Travelers want to know who they’re hiring. Share your photo, where you’ve been, why you do this work, and your any professional memberships and bonding if you have them.
Explain your planning fee
Explain what your planning fee is, what it covers, what’s not included, and when it’s paid. Write it clearly once, so you don’t have to explain it on every call.
Make inquiring easy
Use a short form that asks for dates, group size, budget range, and travel style. Mention your planning fee, so your first reply is helpful.
Give each destination its own page
Include who each destination suits, the best time to go, how long to stay, and what you might skip. Travelers search for places, so each page should be easy to find.
Show a sample trip, day by day
Show an outline of a real trip, along with your reasoning, so travelers can see your standards before they get in touch.
You know the destinations and the people. The goal is to turn that knowledge into a page travelers trust before they contact you.
Not sure what your site is missing? A Website Audit checks it against this list.
THE DESTINATION OR TRIP PAGEA trip page answers the questions travelers might not feel comfortable asking.
When someone reads a trip page, they’re deciding if they can trust you with their time and money. Make sure the answers they need are easy to find.
It can show:
Who the trip suits, and who it doesn’t.
How long, when to go and how active it is.
The days in outline, with your reasons.
What’s included and what isn’t.
What it costs, from a price.
How to start, in one clear step.
If you need live flight, hotel, or price inventory, you’ll need a specialist booking platform. I focus on designing the website and inquiry process, and I can connect the tools you already use.

You own or run a stay where the place is the draw.
Guests ask the same questions before they book.
You want a site you can update yourself.
This is not for…
Online travel agencies, booking engines and anything that needs live flight, hotel or price inventory. That needs a specialist platform.
Network or host-agency sites with branding limits. Check your terms first.
Anyone who wants a promise of inquiries. Nobody honest can give one.
Questions travel businesses ask
I get most clients by referral. Do I need a website?
Yes. People who are referred to you will look you up before they inquire. If they only find your Instagram and a contact form, they miss out on key info. Your site should explain who you plan for, how it works, and what it costs.
Clients will see my fee and leave. Should I show it?
Yes. If someone leaves because you explained your fee clearly, they probably wouldn’t have paid it later anyway. I’ll help you explain it simply, without needing to apologise.
Can I keep my network or host agency site?
Often, yes. A website you own can show your process, fees, and protections, and it stays with you if you move. Check your network’s branding rules first.
Should I show my TAANZ membership?
Yes, if you have it. Put your membership and bonding details where travelers can see them, and make sure they’re worded accurately. If you don’t have them, we’ll clearly explain what you do instead.
Do you build booking engines?
No, I don’t build booking engines. I design the website and inquiry process, and I can link or embed the quoting, payment, and booking tools you already use.
Will a new website get me more inquiries?
I can’t promise more inquiries, and nobody honest can. A clearer website usually improves the quality and fit of inquiries, even if it doesn’t increase the number.
Can I show sample trips without giving my work away?
Yes. Share an outline of a trip and your thought process, but save the full details for paying clients.
What if I don’t have good photos?
Let me know what photos you have. I’ll tell you which ones are fine and which might be worth reshooting or sourcing again.
Can I update the website myself?
Yes. I’ll teach you how to update fees, dates, trips, and journal posts and content yourself.
Tell me about your travel business
Just a few lines are enough. I’ll reply to you personally.
